Dear Collegiate Powerlifter,

Greetings! It is my pleasure to announce to you that the 24th Annual USAPL National Collegiate Powerlifting Championships will be held on April 14 -16, 2006, at the University of Miami Ash Auditorium located at the James L. Knight Center, in downtown Miami, Florida. I have attached a contest application for your review. Please review it carefully.

The contest equipment will be of international caliber, and will include four [4] ER/Combo squat/bench press racks from Denmark, and four [4] sets of calibrated Ivanko bars/weights, both on the competition platform and in the warm-up room. Barload software program and a computerized scoring system shall be used to direct and calculate the individual and team scoring for the championship.

Key and important, the championship shall be drug-tested in accordance with IOC/WADA standards. Also, IPF and national level referees will be in attendance for lifters that set either American or IPF world records. In addition, if you require powerlifting gear, commercial sellers will be available with the most up-to-date equipment to accommodate your specific needs. Also, official USAPL merchandise will be on hand as well, so please take advantage of these two offers.

As a reminder, please be aware of the deadlines for hotel reservations [March 01, 2006], and your contest entry [March 24, 2006]. Both will be honored to the fullest. Please make your reservations early, as this is high season for tourism in Florida.

On this note, I have placed the event in a location with the highest possible degree of activities for students; whilst taking into account the collegiate/university student budget. The hotels and venue are ocated just 10 minutes away from both South beach, and Bayside Marketplace -- the two most popular attractions Miami has to offer. Information pertaining to these two “Hot” tourist spots can be found at the following two web-links: www.southbeach-usa.com and www.baysidemarketplace.com

Finally, for further information pertaining to the contest, I would encourage you to visit the collegiate national championship website at: www.ipfworlds.com/collegiate

To close, if you have any questions regarding this event, or if I can be of further assistance, I can be reached via e-mail: rhk@verizon.net or telephone number: 954.790.2249. On behalf of USA Powerlifting, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you much success with your training for this event, and look forward to seeing you at the championship in Miami!

Sincere regards,
Robert H. Keller
